CLASSROOM/ACADEMICS:

Day 1:

    4 hours class

• Fill out Student Continuing Education Folder
• Fill out Medical History Form
• Sign SSI Statement of Understanding
• View Risk Awareness Video, Part 3
• Sign Waiver and Release of Liability Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement
• View DVD/Video for 2 Specialties
• Review each Specialty Manual Sections
• Take Final Exam for each Specialty

Note:  Students are expected to have competed Section Study Guide Questions for each Specialty prior to class.

Day 2:

     4 hours

• View DVD/Video for 2 Specialties
• Review each Specialty Manual Sections
• Take Final Exam for each Specialty

Note:  Students are expected to have completed Section Study Guide Questions for each Specialty prior to class.

To receive a SSI Advanced Open Water Diver rating, students must have 24 logged dives and 4 of the following specialties:

• Altitude Diving
• Boat Diving
• Computer Diving
• Deep Diving
• Dry Suit
• Enriched Air Nitrox
• Equipment Techniques
• Marine Life Fish Identification
• Navigation
• Night/Limited Visibility
• Search & Recovery
• Underwater Photography
• Waves, Tides & Currents
• Wreck Diving

OPEN WATER:

A minimum of six open water dives are required as a part of the Advanced Course.  The nature of these dives will correspond to the selected specialties.  Any applicable boat fees are not included in the course price and are the responsibility of the student.

Students are expected to supply their own equipment, i.e. flashlights, marker lights, slates, etc. for theses courses!
